A police operation interrupted and canceled a concert by the Mexican group Los Terribles Del Norte minutes before it was set to begin in Texarkana, Arkansas, and led to the detention of 21 undocumented immigrants as well as penalties related to the illegal sale of alcohol.
Why it matters: The case drew attention on social media because of the detentions carried out by immigration authorities and reports linking the operation to ICE actions.
However, Texarkana Police said the investigation began because of complaints related to alcohol sales to minors and the irregular operation of the establishment.
The operation took place on Saturday, June 13, at Club Level, located at 2502 E 9th Street in Texarkana, according to Telemundo .

According to the Texarkana, Arkansas, Police Department, the investigation began after multiple complaints were received from community members.
The complaints pointed to alleged underage alcohol consumption and the illegal sale of alcoholic beverages to people under 21.

During an initial inspection, authorities determined that the establishment did not have the permits required by the state of Arkansas to possess or sell alcohol.
Given that situation, the 8th South Drug Task Force was notified. The unit includes officers from Texarkana police and Miller and Lafayette counties.
Police said that, as part of the investigation, an undercover officer managed to buy alcohol inside the club without presenting identification.

Later, officers began asking for identity documents from people who were drinking alcohol or who appeared to be underage.
According to the police version, those who cooperated and showed valid identification were allowed to leave the venue.
Authorities reported that the club owner and two employees were penalized for the illegal sale of alcohol.
Texarkana Police also said that some people inside the establishment refused to show identity documents or provide personal information.
According to the official report, that situation led authorities to request support from the Department of Homeland Security, or DHS, to help identify those individuals.
The Miller County Sheriff’s Office later confirmed that it was present at the scene only to provide assistance to another law enforcement agency.
Although Texarkana Police maintained that the investigation was not related to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, a spokesperson for that agency confirmed that immigration arrests were made during the operation.
According to ICE, on June 13, 2026, the New Orleans office participated in an operation at Club Level together with 287(g) program partners.
The spokesperson said 21 undocumented immigrants were detained.
According to official information, four of them had final orders of removal and two had criminal convictions.
Public Safety Task Force, or PSTF, teams coordinated by Enforcement and Removal Operations, or ERO, and working with partners from multiple jurisdictions carried out the operation, ICE explained.
Meanwhile, Los Terribles Del Norte reacted to what happened through a statement posted on Facebook.
The group said the event was interrupted and canceled minutes before it began due to circumstances beyond its control.
The band also expressed its support for the Latino community and its solidarity with those affected by the operation.
“We want you to know that we stand with our Latino community and that we believe this is not right,” the group said in its message.
